Curtain Wall Systems

A curtain wall is a glass and aluminum outer covering of a building that does not carry structural load. It is fixed to the building structure and only resists wind and its own weight. Curtain walls are used to give a modern glass appearance, allow daylight, and protect the building from weather.

Curtain Wall Systems - Overview

01.

Conventional curtain wall

Conventional curtain wall is a framed curtain wall system in which aluminum mullions and transoms are installed on site and glass panels are fixed using pressure plates and cover caps, with the frame visible from the exterior.

02.

Structural glazing

Structural glazing is a curtain wall system where the glass is fixed to the aluminum frame using structural silicone sealant instead of mechanical pressure plates and cover caps. From the outside, the aluminum frame is not visible, so the building looks like a smooth glass surface.

03.

Spider glazing

Spider glazing is a frameless glass system in which glass panels are supported by stainless steel spider fittings and bolts at specific points. The glass is connected to a steel structure, glass fins, or cable system. This system provides maximum transparency and is commonly used for entrances, atriums, and showrooms.
